In addition, he has experience in successions and transfers of control procedures for family businesses.
Fuadt Abuid is a qualified lawyer since 2012 and a founding partner of Abuid Tax & Legal in 2016.
Mr. Abuid actively advises local and foreign clients in the design and implementation of legal and tax strategies to conduct their business in Chile. He is also frequently involved in international transactions and the coordination of legal teams from several countries. His legal opinion on tax, customs and liability matters has been requested in several law reports.
Mr. Abuid represents clients in corporate restructuring procedures, involving corporate mergers, transformations, spin off, capital contributions and structured finance, among others. In his practice, Mr. Fuadt frequently advises clients on the sale and purchase of companies and strategic assets, with particular emphasis on dealing their terms and the tax effects arising from such transactions.
In inheritance matters, Mr. Abuid has extensive experience in transfers of control procedures for family businesses, wills and their execution, gifts, bequests and asset partition proceedings.
Mr. Abuid represents the rights of his clients before the Internal Revenue Service of Chile, Customs, Municipalities and the National Treasury Service, in tax audits, administrative petitions or tax collections, as appropriate. He also represents clients in tax litigation before the Tax and Customs Courts and the Chilean Higher Courts of Justice.
